Square Stainless Steel Fire Pit
Evenings move back outside. A square stainless pit built to sit in the middle of the yard, out on the cottage deck, or down at the lake for years.
It measures about 27.9 by 25.5 inches across the top. Each side panel is cut with a deer-and-antler design that lights up once the fire gets going, and after dark the flames throw that pattern out across the patio. The panels slot together in a couple of minutes with no tools and come apart just as fast, so it packs flat for winter storage or for the back of the truck. No bolts to lose. Add the top grill plate if you want to cook over the coals, with a round centre opening for a pot or a set of skewers and two handles for lifting it clear.
Every panel is cut from 12-gauge stainless steel, which is 3mm thick. Most fire pits sold online come in 14-gauge or thinner. Stainless needs no paint and no coating to live outside, so there is no finish to blister off. It takes on some heat colour around the fire box after a few burns, and that is the steel doing its job rather than a coating giving up.
The usual fire pit is painted mild steel. The paint burns off around the fire box in the first season, rust starts at those bare edges, and a couple of winters later the sides are pitted. Stainless has no coating to lose and does not rust out the way mild steel does, which is most of why this one costs more up front and why it is still around in ten years.

Common questions
What is the fire pit made of?
Our fire pits are cut from heavy 12-gauge stainless steel and left bare, with no paint or powder coating.
Will it rust?
Stainless will not rust out the way painted mild steel does. With use it takes on a heat colour around the fire box, which is normal and not a defect.
Do I need to coat or treat it?
No. There is no paint or coating to maintain. If you want to keep it looking newer for longer, store it under cover when it is not in use.
What sizes do you make?
We make square, pentagon, and large octagon fire pits. Check this product's details for its exact dimensions.
How long until I get it, and what does shipping cost?
Shipping is free across Canada, and US shipping is calculated at checkout. Orders reach your door in about 3 to 4 weeks.
